# How to factory reset iSG

Before doing the factory reset, please make sure to <mark style="color:red;">**back up**</mark> <mark style="color:red;">**the data**</mark> on the ISG, especially if you have configured devices on the ISG's Home Assistant (HA). Don’t forget to back up HA as well. You can refer to this [article](/isg/settings/backing-up-and-restoration.md) for instructions on how to perform the backup.
