The built-in Zigbee radio on iSG Display can work on either modes:
iSG Version (Default): Works on iSG software for easier use but may not work well with some brands (ex. Aqara)
ZHA Version: Works in Home Assistant (HA) only for best compatibility.
After updating Zigbee firmware to ZHA version, the Zigbee radio will only be compatible with Home Assistant and cannot revert to the previous iSG version. Consider carefully before updating.
How to upgrade the built-in Zigbee to the Home Assistant (HA) version on iSG Display MAX:
Firstly, update your iSG software to version 20120.
Then, power on the iSG Display MAX and go to the settings page. Click on HA service and check if the HA service state shows as running.
Next, click on firmware update and look for the "zigbee version" on the right side of the interface. If it does not display the ZHA version, then click on the upgrade button. If it prompts a failure in the upgrade, you will need to restart the iSG Display MAX and try again.
If the update is successful, the firmware update page will show the Zigbee Version is ZHA.
How to add to the Home Assistant (HA) ZHA integration:
Run the iSG, go to the settings page and click on the HA service to check if the HA service state is displayed as running on the right side of the interface.
Click on "iSG HA service" and the system will automatically redirect you to Home Assistant.
To add the Zigbee service: Click on Settings - Devices & services - ADD INTEGRATION - search for ZHA - select "Zigbee Home Automation." Then, in the pop-up window, choose EZSP for (Radio Type) and configure the (Serial Port Settings) with Serial device path: /dev/ttyAS3, Port speed: 115200, and select the third option for Data flow control, then submit. See screenshots below:
After the Zigbee service is configured, you can add Zigbee devices in Home Assistant.
Finally, go back to iSG device - Add device - Home Assistant to select the devices you want to add to iSG.
