How to upgrade Original iSG to support HA to the latest version?

Starting from this version, we have completely upgraded the container architecture of iSG. Subsequently, it will support continuous updates of iSG built-in Home Assistant to the latest version.

1. Backup iSG

Go to iSG Settings - iSG Firmware / backup - Backup iSG, save backup file to USB drive

2. Backup Home Assistant

Go to iSG Home Assistant - Settings - System - Backup, save backup file to USB drive

3. Flash iSG image from 32bit to 64bit

Please flash the iSG image to 64bit version.

4. Download iSG Update File to USB drive

Please go to https://kb.linknlink.com/isg/settings/firmware-updates/isg-software, Find the latest update file V20134_x64 download link, download and save to USB drive.

5. Install iSG Update

Go to iSG system - storage - usb drive, find the iSG update APK file and select to install.

6. Follow wizard to Install Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT

After upgrading the iSG software, the device will reboot and enter the installation wizard. Please complete all the addition steps according to the procedure.

Note: During the installation process, the wizard will prompt you to upgrade the Zigbee Dongle to the Zigbee 3.0 protocol. If you are unsure how to proceed with the upgrade, please follow the steps outlined below.

7. Reconfigure Home Assistant Settings

If it is a brand new iSG installation, you can skip this step. If it is an iSG that has been used before, after backing up and restoring the data, you will need to reconfigure the HA settings.

Go to iSG settings - Local HA - Start Initialization

After the configuration is complete, the HA service state should display as "Running".

FAQ

1）After the upgrade, can I still use the Home Assistant ZHA Integration to add Zigbee devices?

Answer: No, after the upgrade, you can only add Zigbee devices using the Zigbee2MQTT service, and the entry point for adding devices will be directly through iSG Device - Add Device - Zigbee.
